Background: Since 1993, over 200,000 Burundians have perished in widespread ethnic violence between Hutu and Tutsi factions similar to Rwanda. When our missionary arrived in Burundi two years ago, there were only four churches. Since then the church in Burundi has grown to approximately fifteen churches. The Burundi church has set a goal to double in the next two years.

We will be working with the first Tanzanian missionary to Burundi to plant churches in that country.
