Background:
Borneo (politically divided between Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei) is the third largest island in the world. It is located at the centre of the Malay archipelago and Indonesia. Borneo is considered part of Southeast Asia. Indonesia is the largest Muslim nation in the world with 170,000,000+ Muslims. The island of Borneo is made up of mostly Animistic tribal groups who have not converted to Islam or Christianity. The Indonesian church is now in a race with Muslim evangelists to reach these people and plant churches in villages. The project is called "Kalimantan 500" or "Borneo 500." Their goal is to plant 500 churches over the next 5 years.
